  4. =Title Overview of the IconAuthor Install IconWare Utility
  5.  
  6. The Install Iconware Command installs an application from
  7. a central source directory whose files were created with
  8. the Copy Iconware funtion.
  9.  
  10. The Install Iconware - Install Iconware dialog box is
  11. displayed to select the source directory to install the
  12. application from. Select the directory by clicking in the
  13. "Install From" box and entering the directory path where
  14. the files to be copied from.  I.e. "DUA1:[JOE.COPY]" .
  15. After you have entered the path either click on the "Apply"
  16. button or enter a carridge return.  If there are iconware
  17. copy ".CPY" files they will appear in the listbox.

  19. Iconware Filename to Install - The Iconware Filename to
  20. Install box is the name of the Iconware ".CPY" file to
  21. be installed.  The Install Command can only be used on an
  22. application that was copied using IconAuthor's Copy Iconware
  23. Command.

  25. Iconware File List - The Iconware File List is a list box of
  26. Iconware files (*.CPY) in the source directory.  Select the
  27. Iconware file to install from the list.

  29. The Install routine searches the specified disk drive for
  30. the .CPY file that matches the name of the application to be
  31. installed.  The Iconware application file and .CPY file are
  32. copied.  The Install routine then reads the list of
  33. filenames in the .CPY file and copies each of the files from
  34. the source directory, putting the files in the appropriate
  35. target directories using the default system defined paths.

  37. It is possible that a file used in the Iconware application 
  38. cannot be installed.  This can occur if the file was deleted 
  39. from the directory.  A problem during the Install routine can 
  40. also occur if there was a problem during the Copy routine and 
  41. the error was not corrected.  If a file cannot be installed 
  42. during the Install routine, an error message appears. Click on 
  43. the Acknowledge button and the install routine continues.  The 
  44. problem should be corrected and the Install Iconware Command 
  45. given again.

  47. Install Iconware - File Selection Control Buttons

  49. Install - The Install button installs the currently selected
  50. Iconware file.

  52. Cancel - The Cancel button cancels the Install Iconware
  53. Command and returns control to IconAuthor.

  55. Help - The Help button gives help on the Install Iconware
  56. dialog box.
